I read somewhere in this forum that MTN's troubled data counter was supposed to be up and running again on September 16, i.e. yesterday. Can anyone confirm if it has happened? My MWeb version for their MTN data customers still appears to be as disastrous as ever....

Apologies, I hit the wrong button/thread! I did indeed mean this to be on the MTN one. Could the powers that be move it pse, thanx!

Yes, it is working again. Just checked.
I have a balance of 280GB of my 350MB bundle. Hope this helps.

Where is the MTN data counter? Mine doesn't work on MTN Active at all.

I use Ginggs totaliser. Dial *162*pin# on it. My MTNActive still does not work. Or put it in a cellphone and dial 162.

MTN says I have 1061158912mb of data... on my 500mb bundle thanks MTN I'll be using all of it.

Good luck with that m8!

*162*pin# seems to be updating more now. Its in a weird format now showing the packet data first.

dialing 16202 also seems to work. Atleast its online.

you can dial 16202 or *162*pin# but when you dial it says as of 25 of September. So you atleast know when last it was updated.

Not completely. Roaming charges still add onto unbilled balance and does not get deducted from rand value bundle.

I dont think roaming charges works on data bundles ... The lady in 808 says so when you wait for an operator

Oeps sorry. See you guys are talking about DATA. Yes, roaming data does not come off the bundles. But roaminh sms and calls comes off the rand value of the anytime packages. At the moment my sms's don't come off my rand value as its suppose to do. Will just have to phone 808 AGAIN and wait 20 odd days for my account to be credited.

The MTN counter on MWeb's site for their MTN broadband customers has never recovered from its initial collapse months ago. Still an absolute disaster brearing about as much relation to reality as Julius Malema's world view.
