I've noticed with my own and my wife's data that ever since December our monthly data is used up during the month where it has never happened before, unless we know that we use our phones for tethering or something obviously hard on data.
I first thought it might have been a fluke because of some update or something but it has now happened every single month since and we have not changed our usage habits at all.
I then noticed that there are similar complaints on the MTN facebook page from loads of other people.
I would not be surprised in the least if MTN just started to steal some data in order to get people to buy more. I 100% expect them to steal from their customers.
The question is if we can do anything about it?
The annoying part of all this is also that when you buy say for instance 100mb data 2 days before your monthly data is refreshed. And during those 2 days you use 5mb of data. The remaining 95mb of data will go unused until your new monthly data has been used up.
In other words, the newest data is always used first. So that way the maximum amount of data will always expire.
See what I mean about MTN having no issues stealing from their customers.
Will this just become the norm?
