MTN datashare now offers per sim usage and data limits, has anyone tested it?

I noticed recently in the MTN app you can now view the data usage per datashared sim and also set usage limits per sim.
Has anyone noticed if the useage stats are accurate and whether the limit you set kicks in promptly once reached?

I want to let a non-family member use a sim datashared from my contract but I want to keep tabs on the usage and be confident that the limit kicks in once reached.

Yes, been using it for a couple of weeks!! Actually brilliant feature and long over due!

The limits do kick in, whether the usage is accurate is another story.

I'm the same as you, got 2 staff members added to it and my daughter. Had a limit of 15gb set for my daughter but with all the load shedding I've had to up those limits regularly until the morning funnily enough, where I just stuck her on unlimited as she keeps on running out and harassing me.

It's a game changer because I was hesitant to even let family use my data in the past but this means I can let anyone use it and just limit the sim.

I think you can do it on Mychoice contracts and Prepaid as well.
