Mtn declining port requests without sending an sms

Mtn declined my two attempts to port to Telkom mobile without sending me an sms. I tried to port again on Monday, bought the sim card RICA'd and sent the port sms. I have been waiting for the Mtn sim to change to 'No signal' but nothing happened. I called Telkom and they said Mtn declined my requests.

Did this happen to anyone else before or am I the unlucky one?

Don't think you're the only one here, but are you sure the SIM you acquired is RICA'd? What is the procedure you followed?

The SIM is RICA'd, I sms'd PORTMER#IDnumber#SIMCardNo..... that process.

Telkom confirmed that the request is on the system but it showed that MTN rejected it.
