MTN digging is BAD

hehehe Uli, hopefully not :)
regarding shovel training: One tells the labourer to expect cables pipes and all sorts of interesting things below a depth of 300mm and possibly uses cable detectors and whatever Eskom or Telkom does to get their labourers not to kill water and lights for a suburb. Then if you look at the picture on my blog, note that it is in the middle of the day and there are no people around... Uhuh, they all ran for the hills, I asked some of the guys who hit the water mains this time, they said they don't know, saw nothing :)

Also never mind the water that is being pumped nowhere, we have lots of water, we are rich.

Anyway, I guess you can save lots of money when someone must just "maak 'n sloot"
whatever anyone says here, I am still without electricity and water and I have to thank
MTN for that...

Mybroadband forums are quite lively, very cooool :)

All I can say that would actually help you right now is CALL a PLUMBER and Electrician!!!! Quickly!!! hehe

Look the engineer are suppose to get fairly decent plans from the municipality first, then the engineer draws these positions in on the new plans that get issued to the contractor, showing the new and the existing. so you know more or less... depth and location of pipes, cables ect.
These plans are not normally 100% correct. Especially JHB as when the new government took over they just thought oh well we don't need all these plans...for what.... and then they just bombed them all. So most likely the contractor wont even know that there is pipes or cables in the way...

The hire of these detection machines that you are talking about are very expensive. and they normally struggle to get the correct information through especially paving blocks.

I don't say they are right but I know its not easy working in road reserves...

Let me think....

1st post, with a personal blog link...... Complaining about Contrators working for a company and blaming the company. Sounds a little odd doesn't it ?

No, it doesn't.

Unless you think complaing about skinner/Telkom/GOAL/Malema sounds odd too.

Nope sorry, I disagree.

Well, he might have put it in the wrong section, but whatever. Mods can move it.

So if I were to post my firstest thread ever and it was how @lantic sucked and broke my e-mail (elec and water are much more important) and I had a blog about it, would you say: "Oh, he must have lost a contract"?

By the way, my firstest thread was on how @lantic sucks.

Maybe he wanted to keep his main nick anonymous. That aside, I believe that a company is responsible for work done by their contractors. Kippie construction won't give a damn if you complain to them, but make a stink with the company giving them their work and they will fit into line quickly.
