MTN double charging

PLEASE HAVE A CLOSER LOOK AT UR MTN ITEMISED BILLING FOR JUNE.. THERE IS DUPLICATE ENTRIES OF CALLS MADE ON THE JUNE 09 FOR CALLS MADE DURING 12 TO 14 ON THE STATEMENTS.. BEWARE...
 
MTN has been scr3wing up their billing quite a bit lately. My fiance and a friend were both overcharged for last month and customer care would not sort it out. Be very careful! Its rediculous. Now my fiance wants to move to Vodacom who did the same thing to me 3 years ago. You just can't win.
 
MTN are introducing a new billing engine since April and this has resulted in various anomalies ... lots of interesting things happening there that would be better left for a MTN rep to report on :-)

What MTN rep? They have ducked as they can't handle all the complaints.
Even complaints on HelloPeter are being slowly answered with copy and paste stuff that is of no help. Only shows that they are replying but not helping.
 
Would love to comment on whats happening but you summed it up - lack of acknowledgement that there is an error in the billing system. It seems that this will not be resolved soon (not an assumption, a statement based on fact).
 
That leaves prepaid the only way to go.
 
And another month of a screwed up bill - YEAH! Thank good its the 2nd last one. End of July I'm history.
 
Got my bill yesterday. Backdated 2 months. Last month's was backdated 3 months.
 
MTN has double billed my as well... I'm not prepared to pay an extra R1800 for duplicate calls. In fact, my itemised billing shows two or three calls sometimes made at the exact same time for the exact same period... When speaking to a consultant now, the debit order will be going off tonight with the full amount... Just phoned the bank and instructed them to block the debit order... Taking this proof to MTNSP to determine the cost of cancelling my remaining contract... This is the second time in as many months that my billing has been inaccurate...
 
Yeh - I have one more month - can't wait to be rid of this pathetic provider, my problems have remained unattended since March.
 
I think we need to get a trade union or the government in on this....cos MTN is basically stealing from the public.
