I have full signal, but am unable to make or receive any calls. When trying to call out, there's an engaged tone, and after restarting my phone it said emergency calls only. When receiving calls, there's an engaged tone as well.

My gf, also on MTN, confirmed the same thing happening to her in Jhb South. Wtf is happening?

Managed to make a call to my land line, but a second attempt failed. Seems like some form of congestion?

I have no signal at all. Manual search and I see 3G MTNT Group but it says Access Denied
 
MTN seems to be having network problems nationwide. First i lost 3G. Few mins later Edge. Then NO SERVICE. Cape Town.
 
Sleepy Hollow got no HemptyN. Must admit their network has been k@k for a few days now.
 
wow i tort i was the only one....at happened around 6pm...auckland park

but it seems to be fine now
 
It was down for me in Hillcrest but I pulled the battery and when it booted up again it was back and stable.
 
definitely network-wide outages - at least intermittent.

at least 2 other people I know in CT also had major issues.. that's besides for the fact that every single one of my calls today was dropped prematurely.
 
Haven't had any problems today, made several calls today between 4pm and 7pm and none failed, but I had no service yesterday between 9am and 1pm. Polokwane.
 
Is there a problem connecting to EDGE/3G? I can't establish a data connection at all - my phone says "Connection unavailable".
