Shortly after MTN's press release relating to e-sim functionality becoming available for iPhone users, I applied for an e-sim linked to a primary MTN mobile number. The mobile number relating to the e-sim was mailed to me fairly quickly but the QR coded needed to load the e-sim onto the iPhone was not forthcoming. It took multiple calls to the call centre over a few days to actually get the QR code. Once loaded, the MTN secondary (e-sim) line appeared but with zero functionality. Not able to use data or make or receive calls. Self RICA was performed and an email confirmation was received saying that the RICA process was successful but this did not resolve the lack of functionality on the e-sim. I followed up with an in person trip to the physical MTN customer service store and RICA'd again but the e-sim still states that RICA is required and still has zero functionality. MTN staff seem lost in terms of trouble shooting the issue with one service consultant referring you another with endless lack of resolution.

Sorry can’t help but I have a few unrelated questions, do you have a contract or are you on prepaid, also is there an extra monthly charge for the e sim?
