I have tried updating my E220 with the latest firmware. I have tried the on from MTN SA and the MTN Nigeria site (both are not the latest firmware though).

The problem tha I have is that when I run the software it says that the E220 is not connected and connot be found. The e220 however is plugged into the USB and used for downloads! I tried the search for new hardware etc. but vcannot get the software to pick up the modem to update.

Any advise?

All of the drivers, etc. will be reloaded onto the new pages during next week.

Maybe it's because the old software is already using the device. Disconnect and close the old software completely before trying.

You are still missing the "High-Priority Firmware Update" for the E620 (still mentioned on this old page).

The E620 dashboard installer is only 8MB in size yet your download is 27MB because it contains Adobe Acrobat reader and other extras.

Where are the dashboard installers for the other devices? How would someone, for example, re-install the MTN F@stlink dashboard on an E220?

Are MTN's device downloads zero-rated?

I have a problem with my x64 pc not seeing the modem. I'm running XP Professional on it. initially, when connected the modem for the first time, it installed F@stlink with no problem. However, when I start F@stlink, it states that my datacard is invalid. MTN tech guy suggested it's a faulty modem? modem not shown under devices in the System Menu, either. How can I get this fixed? Currently using my N70 as a dial-up modem. A pain, cayse I need to switch sim cards the whole time!!

BTW - been using this same modem on another pc AND laptop (both x32) since October, when I bought it, with no problem

I tried to run the patch that I downloaded from the MTN-website. It cannot find the Huawei Modem to complete the update. Bummer!!

Oh, just checked quickly, the driver I have at the moment for XP is
ewusbmdm.sys
File Version 2.0.3.0

does this mean I have to take my modem in to the service dept? AHHHHHHHHH

will it help anyone if I e-mail you the .log files to have a squizz at?
