We're having MTN fiber cable laid outside our house tomorrow or the day after.
They have already dug the trenches.
MTN ZTE fiber.
I would like to know if I can use other ISPs because it seems MTN will be first with the fiber in my area.

Fibre in the ground, maybe.
First to link and activate houses? Don't think so. That piece of fibre is only one part of the whole...
Parsons Hill GPON - cutover last week
Summerstrand GPON - almost done.
Charlo GPON - next week.
PS. Telkom already has fibre in your area. That other cable is for backhaul, not block feeds.
Nice. Looks like MTN are rolling out quite aggressively. They've already got a lot of areas planned for coverage that the other vendors haven't considered

They do seem a bit expensive, though I'm keen to try out their fiber network on a month to month basis, if they are k@k I'll just cancel.
They just about done in La Lucia, most of it has been finished already.
