MTN free CliffCentral WeChat streaming for a limited time

Does this "free streaming" contribute to the fair use policy? If it does, then this is a complete waste of time.

“The free streaming of CliffCentral on WeChat is available to all MTN customers who have purchased one of the revamped MTN internet services. No data limits will apply to the free streaming service of CliffCentral with the promotion running until 30 June 2014,” Brian Gouldie, chief marketing officer at MTN SA said.

FUP will apply...

You simply cannot take the chance with MTN to assume you are getting the data streaming for free.

I see a lot of people getting R16000 bills again.

Those who continue to stream beyond 30 June, MTN may actually extend this date as they usually do. The question though, will this data past the promotion date be part in the package or will it have a separate data balance?

MTN woke up - they have made some ripples in the pond

No they haven't. This promotion is just wool over idiots' eyes. CliffCentral is an appalling radio station - it's awkward, not funny and difficult to access. And everything else offered by MTN is subject to pathetically low fair usage limits. You're better off on another network with a normal data bundle.

I don't think they know they're broadcasting

Just stopped.

Guess they didn't

I don't believe what they saying until someone actually tries it out and gives us positive feedback

At 5-6kbps, it ain't much data. I streamed a total of around 1h20min and used just under 18MB.
