Anyone experiencing connection trouble on mtn gprs? I cant connect to wap (creating GPRS connection for close to 5mins) is all i get, and then no connection. I'm using Nokia 6230 in a "yellow broadband" area. Is it just me or is this a general problem in the downtown Jozi area, cause as soon as i get home (Boksburg) in the afternoons i can connect with no problems...

Good day,

Sneed

Can you please PM me your cell number and your physical address so I can escalate this to our network department.

There was a problem yesterday which affected data and MMS services (ref 5721). It was 'out' for much of the evening and morning. By 1:30 AM the engineers had not fixed it and customer services were quoting 2 to 24hrs to get the system going again. The customer services girls seemed to think that if you connect, then the service is working, despite the crawling speed of access. The first rep I spoke to told the truth (Mphumi) then Dituo spoilt it all and tried to 'hide' the problem. At least getting through was a breeze.
