Whats with MTN Rwanda offering flat rate, no cap internet, but they cant do it in SA?!

They have pretty much had monopoly for some time now, but Terracom has recently come in with their cdma offers and are marketing agressively. It seems they only offer it because they have to. They can afford it apparently. SO... you gonna tell me that they are worse off in SA? Noooo.... they just dont have to.

Obviously that's it. One thing I have learned travelling in Africa. It seems most people in countries I have been to are not of the opinion that they have "arrived". There seems to be a general attitude of "let's improve things".

Yeah Ed - that's the real africa - instead of this fishbowl we call home.

If they can offer it there they can offer it here. Theres a bigger subscriber base here if they use satellite why not do it here it obviously is cheaper.
Wait wait ... we a rich african country so we get raped could MTN SA subscribers be subsidising the rest of africa maybe ?
