Hi Guys

I need some advice here, as i am running out of ideas and swear words to come up with.

Through my own fault, i forgot about 1 contract i had which i stopped using. This was more than a year ago that i last used this contract etc Anyway, long story, but MTN then issued a collection company to recover the funds. I acknowledged the mistake, and made arrangments with the collection company, and account was settled in January. Received the settlement letter and sent off to MTN for confirmation.

Subsequently to that, MTN is still invoicing me, and as a result my account is now back up to R900. When i sent the settlement letter i received from the collection company, i asked MTN to please move this number to prepaid or to recycle this number, as the account is settled and i now want to move on. MTN then advised me that i need to pay R500 to move this number to prepaid, as to which point i was confused.

Can anybody perhaps advise what my next steps should be, as i cant get hold of their legal department via telephone, and have only been corresponding with them via email which has gotten ugly.

Admittedly as i said, this was an error on my part, but payments were made on time and the account settled.

Thanks in advance

I'm posting from my phone, so cant see if you have your area listed....

Are you in Jo'burg? If so take all your paperwork and correspondance to 14th ave, MTN HQ.

Once there ask for relevant dept/person.
