Just like video calling this is going to be failure; and for exactly the same reason.

It's not universal.

Nope I disagree, it will take off better, esp with the younger generation.

Seriously... I cannot understand what this is all about?

Why would we want to go back to a walkie-talkie style one-way communication system?

How can this be any easier than just just hitting a speed dial and having a regular phone conversation?

I'm certain there's a good reason why cellphones replaced cb radios..

Ummm... just thinking... when going out in convey, at sports event, on building sites, just think of the number of way PTT makes a hang of a lot of sense to talk to a group of people quickly, besides 20s is plenty of time for this type of communication. The price of 16c is a little steep but me-thinks it'll come down once the service becomes popular.

D

A bit expensive me thinks. And a corporate roll out is ok, but this should be for the masses 1st off. The general public will grab at it more readily. And as for Voda's rate as quoted above - way cool! (even though the rest of the network sucks :p )

isn't PTT pretty much free in most other countries? was in argentina a while back and everyone there uses it for free local comms - albeit basic walkie-talkie style.

nice to have though. pity they have to slap a price on it.

Coolest thing since sliced bread. Now I can keep in contact with everyone on site at a push of a button. Also doing 4x4 trails will never be the same again.... :D
