MTN LTE pilot: all the details

South Africa’s second mobile network operator recently launched a pilot network to trial new mobile data technology – these are the details.

Nice....is there a higher res map of coverage somewhere? Howbout hooking a few myBB forumites up with trails? :D
 
This is gr8, I hope vodacom & MTN make a LTE/Wifi modem when the launch commercially.
 
After reading the article, is that 2-3 year frame until they launch inline with international launches, i would have thought they would launch by mid-2012 atleast.

I wonder what size the cap will be :/.

Sorry, oversight on my part. MTN said that not all the sites are active, but should be by the end of August. This will be mentioned in the next article.
 
since when did MTN become the second network operator, always thought SNOTEL, ok Neotel is the second. more appt is MTN the 2nd Mobile operator.
 
i can dl at least 2 to 8 gig easy, so i;ll gladly trial this :-)
