"Dear customer UTI will be calling you on behalf of MTN to confirm your address details and contact information for the delivery of your free MTN LTE Sm card."

I didn't order no LTE sim card.

What is the meaning of this?

They are replacing all the old simcards with the new 128k LTE simcards for free. You are not forced to take it but I guess they will deliver irrespective....

I got the message, confirmed with mtn that it's valid, the courier called and delivered. Sim card activated.

Who did you phone?

Why have we moved back to the 1970's where you have to phone everyone? Really pisses me off.

I called 808, didn't have to phone, i just called to ensure that it wasn't a bogus sms scam. In the envelope with the sim are instructions to do the sim swap via sms.

I had my sim delivered to my work. Activated it and all is good. Pretty awesome IMHO.

Same. They called and I got it a couple of days later. Browsing is much more faster :)

it took about 3 days IIRC. They (UTI) phoned me to confirm the delivery date and address and I just gave them a new address

Since my message said the following :

Dear Customer,MTN will be deliver a Free LTE SIM to complement your LTE Device for your convenience.RTT will contact you to confirm the date & time for delivery

Maybe I should wait for the call.

So what benefits?

Just been phoned.

Well it it is LTE enabled. With the 128k sim you also get extra contacts storage not that people use the contacts storage anymore that is why you use google or other cloud storage methods....

Hi guys this is not some scam, MTN is pushing out LTE sims for free to people that do not have a LTE sim card, Once it has been brought to you please follow the steps to do a sim swap or if you have any problems just go to any MTN store for help.
