I'm with Virgin Mobile and quite frankly I'm tired of all the problems.

I'm going to move over to MTN soon. Is it easy moving over to MTN with MNP and how much does it cost roughly?

Secondly, which Pay as you Go package works out the cheapest? I can't find a side by side comparison on the MTN site, I need something with cheap sms's across all networks and per second billing.

Thanks for any help.

Ello und welcome Tera:)

Are you looking @ soley prepaid or a prepaid contract? The rates are the same just the difference between a contract and a prepaid.

Thanks for the reply snakey ;)

I'm just looking for a normal prepaid service, I don't want to pay a monthly amount.

How long does it take to switch to MTN? And what's the cost? ;)

Fill in the application form @ ure nearest dealership, it goes through the crdb then 8 hours after a sucessful port your MTN sim is active- all takes aboot a day, maybe 2.

Snakey, I don't phone that much, actually like 5 times a month, if it's that much.

Does the MTN SMS Bundles expire like Voda, or not? ;)

The MTN zone package is very good if those you chat too often are also on MTN. During off peak I regularly see 95% off which is about R7 per hour of talktime.

That's good, I have to be honest however, I've got one friend who uses MTN, the rest are Voda and Cellc, so I need a general service, the payback service looks really cool to me, if I want to send 1 sms that day, I send it, if I want to send 3 or 4 or more then I send it at 40cents, which is 5 cents more than VM. And don't forget the sms bundles, those will work a lot ;)
