Hi there

Kids were messing on my phone and they migrated me to the MTN Pulse price plan (I’m on Prepaid). I tried migrating back to MTN PayPerSecond (79c/min flat rate calling plan) and the option was no longer on the *141*4# menu.

Called MTN Customer Services and they said that the priceplan has been discontinued. This also got escalated and I got the same feedback. This was my priceplan of choice and even their IVR system 555 recommends that priceplan for me as I will allegedly save R400 per month by switch to it.

Anyone else aware of this? I haven’t seen any media releases or statements from MTN.

Looks like I’ll be porting away.

Weird. Media releases are all sponsored. You read what they want.
Get a new prepaid SIM and see whether you have your plan on the menu.

Otherwise Telkom SimSonke 69c/pm, it is roaming MTN. Standard data bundles are also roaming.

Thanks so much, sajunky. I'm definitely considering switching back to Telkom SimSonke as I used them previously. The only reason why I switched to MTN was because of MTN DataShare and linking my current SIM to my data sim at home.

Cheers
