MTN scoops top award

I logged on quickly to upload photos of my car engine and I see this MTN press release thing. My point still stands as this article is exactly the same as the Vodacom one. I wanted to know about the other awards and yes the MTN and Vodacom awards ofc.

I just feel all these should have been corolated and one article done with all the winners and sections of which they where nominated for.

This article I shave with the same comb as the Vodacom one ;)

This gets the same :sick: as the Vodacom article. This is not nows just boasting. Same as the one Vodacom did. That is what I mean, this article has the exact same value to me as the Vodacom one had. I'm not going to say this one is fine but the Vodacom one I burn down. This is the same press release thing I was talking about. Be it Vodacom or MTN or Cell-C or what ever.

The article on this Gala thing was suppose to be one big article with all the nominations, catagories and winners.

That was my point I was trying to make.

I know who won what between Vodacom and MTN, but what about the other awards ?

Get what I'm saying ;)
 
Following this topic closely I think there is nothing wrong with the Press Releases as their title is by no means ambiguous. The article headline says exactly what the content is about.

When you look at a traditional online news site they usually devide news stories into features, snippets ect.

Perhaps thats what needs to be investigated. More feature articles and less copy 'n paste, lick 'n stick reporting?

A feature article on this very event as Pitbull suggested would be a superb addition to the news article.

News is a bit slow at the moment, i don't mind them spreading it out a little.

Come post seacom time next year, this place will be buzzing with updates.

Amen brother :) Also not easy to get comment and the like. Many interesting articles coming over the next two weeks though - promise :D

BTW: I don't think Pitbull will be moved to the PR department anytime soon ;)
