Hey guys.

I have been in contact with MTN now for about 7 months in this regard.

Our reception in the entire area has gone from worse, to worse. Inside my house now, I have no signal at all. Literally nothing. Outside its a bit better, but sporadic. Obviously the walls interfere with this.

This is not even 3g I'm talking about, but simple call reception. EDGE is all I have here, when I step outside and hold my arm in the air (As if it matters).

I have filled in form after form, and not a single call from MTN has ever happened.

Any antenna that I can use? That works with MTN? I don't even know what to start looking for.

Hi Inn3rself- please PM me your number or a reference number that you have logged with our coverage helpdesk (0839001212), let me see what we can do to assist you?

@Voldemort

He helped me while back ! he needs a award at his company XD

Just wanted to ask, what is the process for sorting out low reception in an area?

Constantly have low MTN (and Vodacom)reception issues in the residential areas just below Table Mountain.

Sorry,not trying to hijack thread.

I assume the first step is logging a call with the coverage helpdesk (0839001212)

Hey Guys,

I am a noob on this forum and hopeful that someone here can be of assistance.

I moved into a new apartment about a week ago and is now the lucky winner of extremely poor MTN LTE reception. The previous apartment is only about 800m from the new one however download speeds have dropped from 25-30mbps to 1-3mbps.

There was a time at the old apartment that MTN had some issues with a tower and I then realized how poor the service is from the Reception help desk. I need some help in resolving the issue at the new place without having to wait 21 days without ever being contacted by MTN.

@Voldemort seems a like a likely savior? Or do I need to look into buying a signal booster?

Much appreciated!

Hi there

Please PM some details, ie address, contact details, e-mail address, I'll have a look?

Really hope that MTN can get wifi calling working in this lifetime, that would help a lot with these reception issues.

Voldemort are you able to please help me as well? Zero MTN signal so working from home is really challenging!!!
