MTN Signal problems?

Mine was fine yesterday, but my data connection has been off from this morning, and signal is definitely lower than usual in the same area.
I still receive SMSes though. Have not made or received any calls today, so I cannot comment on that.

What worries me a bit is that the person sitting right next to me is also on MTN, and her data connection is fine.
I live in a rural area called Boons outside Rustenburg and have had 1 bar out of 5 data signal sine last week. I logged a fault 7758798 with coverage and am still waiting. How long must I wait? I need a credit as its a problem with such a low signal. I am using a yagi and noting has changed on my side.

Dropped calls, calls that don't even ring, they drop as the connection is made. Have seen lots and lots and lots of my phone being detached from 3G/HSDPA, sometimes being forced to GPRS/EDGE, or nothing at all.
SMS messages delayed/not delivered/received, but by jove, the SPAMMERS can get through.
What's new from MTN, certainly not a reliable network. The yellow banana network has monkeys swinging from the equipment racks, instead of qualified people.
