Stupid MTN want me to come in AGAIN to RICA. I signed a new contract in April & gave all my documentation. I would like to report them for activating the SIM without RICAing it.
I ignored the periodic RICA reminders MTN sent out as I don't have a pre-July '09 sim card.
Today they called me. "Please phone 083 123 .... & check if you are RICA'd as we don't always process it on new contracts."
I phoned and 'Phindi' says: "you must take y documents to be RICA'd."
I tell her to "contact the Canal Walk service centre to tell them to do their job."
She says: "we cannot make outbound calls from this call centre"
I say "send them an email"
She says: "what the email address"
I say: "I don't know, YOU are MTN, I'm the CUSTOMER"
*click*
I call 808 but they can't help, I must take my documents in. THey give me a number for the Canal Walk store.
beeeeeep....beeeeeeeeep.......beeeeeeeeep
The number does not exist.
I call Canal Walk and they put me through to MTN SP call centre... "....because MTN does not have any landlines in their store"
ME to call centre: "can you give me a number to call or an email address to write to at Canal Walk?"
Call centre:: "sorry, we don't know who works there so we cannot help you."

Why the hell must I take my documents in again because they never processed them?!
I've looked up a fax2email number and sent a message to the store.
Does anyone know if MTN have broken any laws by activating my simcard without RICA-ing it? I would like to know who can I report them To? I would like to force them to retrieve the documentation I submitted and for them to do their job.
