I was hoping to be able to watch some of the soccer games live using 3G. I signed up for the soccer service but I have not been able to access the MTNLoaded site to get the content. All other sites work via my phone and Mtnloaded used to work so I can only persume that the site can't cope with the additional traffic. Really a let down....

This is bollocks. MTN advertises the *near live* streaming of this service and all that is offered is a couple of stills on a test service??

Hi

No catch.

SMS = Free

MMS = Free

Video = One off charge of R10.00 and then also any applicable data charges while you are streaming/downloading the video.

You will need to specifically register/activate the FIFA World Cup product either on WAP at www.mtn.co.za/wap/soccer or by calling the IVR on 083123686 or on our web site at www.mtn.co.za/soccer.

Tell u what, I registered for the MMS updates. I get more than 5 updates of one match! The updates really sucks man. I had to cancell the subscription. Maybe the Video updates are better!

How do I activate the video content? when i go to activate the package on mtn.co.za/soccer site I only get the option to activate sms? which works fine by the way

and yes I do have 3G (jasjar), but when I activated it the first time it was disabled...maybe thats the problem?

I also see my phone is not configured for wap and when I tried getting the settings send to me it said "your handset may not support over-the-air config"

Hi

I'm really sorry but iMates are not supported.

By default they do not come shipped with a video client that supports .3GP video files which are used for mobile video content and as such we can’t take the chance that customers will subscribe and pay for content but not be able to watch it.

Nokia 9500 Support for FIFA Updates

Hi MTN DD,

I have a Nokia 9500 and I was told by MTN Corporate Helpdesk that this handset is not compatible with the video updates for FIFA.

The 9500 comes pre-installed with Real Player and it does play .3gpp formats.

Any ideas then as to why it doesn't work with the FIFA updates?

Regards,
