MTN/Supersonic Fibre Experience

@Jan why is this useless company consistently on the top rank list of ISPs ... when will a proper article come out about this company, their useless ISP capability, and the C-Suite revolving door?
You can just imagine what a chaotic scene it will be when Supersonic cuts MyBB's internet access should they not appear on the list, or be criticized in any way. ;)

Ispa.org.za

It might not fix your problem but it will at least put supersonic on their radar if enough people submit.

I would like to warn other potential customers that the service you receive from Supersonic Fibre and MTN Fibre is absolutely pathetic.

I've requested a month to month fibre package of 250mbps. Metrofibre quickly had the line and modem set up, and then the wait started to get the router from Supersonic.

Getting no feedback from Supersonic, I tried logging tickets and raising queries with the call centre. Eventually it got delivered with a message that my order is complete and they'll be in contact soon to send someone to set up the router.

This is the day they sent me the first invoice and started charging for usage. I set up the router but my speed was capped at 5mbps.

It's now been an additional 8 DAYS after logging many tickets, countless calls and being put on hold to try and reach the support / second line support teams (who never answer or call you back), my speed is still limited and I receive no feedback or updates. This client service is so bad it feels like a scam.

Supersonic, I informed you 3 DAYS ago that if a technician is was not here by the end of that day I'm cancelling all services. I did get a follow up call the next day where they shared an adress and details of another client with me and eventually realised that they had the wrong profile open.

2 DAYS ago I've requested that you please come and collect your router and cancel my contract. If I get charged anything on my accounts I'll inform the bank that it's fraud. I'll switch to Metrofibre since I hear their service is actually good.

The day after posting my first review I got this message: "Dear Valued Customer, Please be advised that the debit order for your Supersonic subscription was not successfully processed today, due to unforeseen circumstances.Rest assured, the transaction will be processed tomorrow, 2 February 2024. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. Kind regards, Supersonic"

Your social media team have asked for my details on every post (3 DAYS in a row) and informed me that they will get the support team to contact me, and logged tickets for the error. Guess what... Still more unattended tickets and no call backs
Is anyone elses supersonic connection down?
Yes, since last Sunday. Every time they break down its for a week at least, in my experience. Worst service every. Its run by bots ...

Thank God , I'm off supersonic, I didn't have to wait out the full month to have my line released and after 17 days of no internet I'm back online.

Never ever again.

who did you end up with and how did you get out of it without staying the full month?

Went back to Vox and I'm not sure how I was able to bypass the notice period to be honest. But it could either be Vox>frogfoot forced the takeover through on their end or my mediation request with ISPA came to something as my resolution demand was that they cancel everything without me having to serve a notice period as the line never worked to begin with.

I'm also curious so I'll find out and post it here for someone else who might find it useful.

Frogfoot removed the supersonic link as it wasn't active or never was activated and seeing as how it was basically a dead line with no service that's been cancelled they had no issues handing it over for Vox to takeover without me having to wait a month for it to be released.

I thought I was rid of supersonic. Today they tell me that I did not cancel? I cancelled on 30th of April. I managed to find a landline number. 011 300 5800. I was assisted by an agent who assured me that I would receive an email acknowledging the cancellation.
They have another number and a WhatsApp number. I have not been able to use either successfully. I suggest that their landline number might be best.

I'v been with Supersonic since Jan 2024 live in Newcastle had no issues with them except minor gripes - Yes their whatsapp has very bad response times but call in no issues...they not available after hours. In 1.5yrs had some downtime but not on their side - vumatel fibre cables got damaged by municipal contractors - the app & online portal is tops no complaints but I'm leaving them end of next month as Im getting a better deal elsewhere on a 30/30 line from Vodacom/MTN/Cell C... My experience with fibre is just the initial installation, setting up, activation you might experience issues but after that its pretty smooth sailing. Prior to supersonic I was with Axxess for 2years - had to leave them as I was moving to a new town & they were not at the time available at my new address...
