I'm not sure where to report this, but the local MTN tower seems to be giving issues.

None of my MTN SIM's connect via 3G/HSPA.

I figured since I have the product with Afrihost, they need to take it up with their provider.

Tower in question:

Diagnostic Logs:

And Windows reports the error as:

The modem(s)/MiFi's have been been working non-stop for the past two weeks.

The problem started at no-earlier than: 12:30 19/09/2013, as of 14:30 19/09/2013, this problem is still persisting.

Yes, having issues with connecting to the internet, luckily I have cellc as a backup.

Problem is still persistence at the time of this post :(

Big orange bar showing on the mifi

It's like a fuk-king power outage!!

Get your $h1t sorted out Afrihost/MTN!!

A outage of an hour or so every other month I can understand, but going on 5 hours!

*packs shotgun into the bakkie* singing "gonna shoot me some sectors on MTN towers"*

Hey guys

Sorry about the issues here, please drop me a PM with your info and I'll take a look at these errors on our end.

Thanks AfriGuy, I have connectivity again :D

The signal is still in the orange, but connectivity non the less

Something isn't Kosher, or Halal..... Why yes, something is unholy here...

Phase 1:
The PPP Clients completes the CHAP Handshake with CHAP Server, "UMTS_CHAP_SRVR", and the session is established, but not connected yet.

Phase 2:
Then from the log below, first the client get's no IP/DNS information, then on the next attempt, get's DNS info, still no IP.

Is MTN/Afrihost's IP space/pool exhausted?

Sorry about the late response here, if you're still having issues please drop me a PM. I'd like to check things out for you.

you dont get an IP at authentication but rather once the sim registers on the PS (aka data) network, at least as far as I remember.

So from my perspective this is a PC/windows issue.

Do the sims connect to data in a 2G or 3G phone?

Unable to connect to any 3G data towers in my area, only see 2G visible, even tried forcing it to make use of 3G but no signal at all..

Also noticed earlier on today a problem *whereby it doesn't connect even though there is signal strength* I wonder if this has something to do with with the unique APN assigned.
