MTN up 7% on Indian prospect

MTN added R8.50, or 7.14% to R127.50 at 10.31am on Monday after it announced that it and India's Bharti Airtel are currently exploring a potential transaction whereby MTN and its shareholders would acquire an approximate 36% economic interest in Bharti, of which 25% would be held by MTN with the remainder held directly by MTN shareholders.

MTN is so big internationally. I doub't they would care about ripping south africans off as much as Vodacom now. Vodacom having mostly only south african customers to leech from.
