MTN up on Vodafone rumour

Wonder what will happen given Vodafone has made a statement

JOHANNESBURG, March 25 (Reuters) - Britain's Vodafone Group
<VOD.L> said on Tuesday it had had no contact or discussions
with South African-based mobile phone group MTN <MTNJ.J> about
acquiring a stake in its international operations.
"We have had no contact," a Vodafone spokesman told Reuters.
South Africa's Sunday Times reported at the weekend that
Vodafone, the world's largest mobile phone company by revenue,
engaged MTN in pursuit of a multi-billion rand share after the
government blocked it from purchasing a controlling stake in
rival local phone operator Vodacom <TKGJ.J>.
