MTN users hit by downtime

MTN users have reported network problems that are causing slow or no Internet connectivity, as well as problems with voice calls.

Downdetector has shown a spike in reports of problems from MTN customers since 06:00 on Sunday.

Vodacom mo Mahikeng had same issues Friday and Saturday i could not connect to 4G network, H+ internet speed was super slow i couldn't play full song at Spotify lite without buffering
Online learning was nightmare it was buffering all day
Calls where not clear
Internet Connection sometimes went from H+ to E alot ending up with no internet connection

MTN have also had problems since Thursday 20 February 2020 with cell tower handover. You travel 2 KMs and have to switch in and out of airplane mode in order to register with a new tower. I experienced this in Midrand and Thembisa.
