Hi guys /gals, was hoping somebody can shed some light here for me please.

For 20 Jan I received a statement R1166 of which 743.20 is for packet switched data. After enquiring, they tell me I exceeded my monthly allocated data of 200 mb. Then I request a itemised bill to set my mind at ease , because I highly doubt I could have exceed it by that much.

The itemised bill comes and does not correspond with my initial statement, total volume in bytes172,708,864 @ R135.10 ,which further agitate my suspicion.

Then their data expert sends me an email and say I used 705.43 mb for the month , but is full of discrepancies.
Like on 03/01/14 the itemised bill say I used 38 mb @ R66,51and his invoice say I used 210 mb @ R420.75

What and who to believe.

Thanks for reading .

I hope you take this further as something is seriously wrong and they need to fix it. Get management involved. This is pathetic !!

PS: did you at any time during the month check your data balance? Did you buy a bundle at all?

I did ,I know I went over, can't remember exactly, and knew I had to take it easy , but can't be that extreme.

Just can't understand how they can have conflicting itemised bills .

I am having the same issues.

Itemized Bill says I used R900 of data. only one problem. I have an Afrihost APN. and I have the logs from afrihost to prove I was on APN every single day, and I only used 900mb on afrihost. my suspision is MTN have charged me for the afrihost data.

Sorry to hear that this was the case. Have you compared your Afrihost data logs from ClientZone to the MTN logs that you are being billed for?

Still waiting for MTN to get back to me with more detail. I have checked my internal phone logs, and the logs from afrihost and they match up perfectly. at this stage I am 99.9% sure mtn has charged me for the data I used on the apn. if that is the case I am going to cause a PR nightmare for them. fighting for the consumer? no *****ing the consumer is more like it.

And this, is why I ended up getting itemised billing on all my MTN contracts when I was still using their services. Coincidentally, my monthly bills dropped substantially once I did...

Good luck , I am awaiting their response as well.

In one response I was addressed as a Mrs G Maseko and none of their invoices match up.
