Account paid in full and suspended?
My account was suspended due to being arrears in December, fine.
My account was sent to the legal department for collection, fine.
My account of R1603 is paid on 02 January 2008, suspension lifted.
Tonight my line is suspended once again so I phone 808 from it and get the legal department's IVR telling me that their office hours are Mon-Fri 8am- unknown (cos I hung up). Phone 808 from my fiance's phone... spoke to a very bored sounding guy who tells me that he doesn't know why my account is suspended and set for legal collection. I told him they should fix it very quickly.
30 minutes later...
I call back, get a very arrogant man called Errol, who needs to be taught that sarcasm is easilly recognised in tone of voice.
1.Tells me my account was suspended because I paid it late. Someone define late as the account was paid in full on 2 January?
2. Tells me my account was suspended on 8 January. Did I then make imaginary calls to a new client, family members and employers between then and today? I wonder exactly how these people knew what the calls were about when we all met in person... ESP maybe?
3. Implies that I was lying about:
a) my conversation with their legal department on 2 January to give them the reference numbers for my payments made at the Shoprite (Tzaneen) easy pay counter. Even though it reflects on the system that on that same day I changed my address on that very same day...
b) the fact that I have been making and recieving calls between the 8th and today.
So fine, he says he reconnected my line and it should be up in 2-24 hours and told me that Shane Williams from their legal department will call me back to explain whats going on ( I will not be holding my breath).
This is really unacceptable! Then again, what do we expect...it IS MTN afterall....
