Question :

Will downloading from MU & RS incur any data cost on BB if the links are accessed thru the BB Browser?

Wonder if it will still be a problem with a paid account.

I can get a dload every now and then.

if you could get a paid account it will help coz then parralel downloads are allowed and you wont get the ole i.p flag if i could find a better site for dling id be there but most places are nt blackberry friendly.and dam the torrent trade.

wupload, filesonic and fileserve work well for me, thats where rlslog links to for thie stuff.

I've been to the rslog site and it does nothing. How do u use it?

Define nothing? Cause it works very well for me, unless you tried it between like last Friday and Sunday, it was switching between offline and overloaded.

Yeh rslog still works for me havnt had a problem yet. Only with older things where most share sites have deleted their files. But fileserve etc works well for me just ocassionaly get the "this ip is downloading already". But hey its free cnt complain at all.

CranialBlaze and Greavance, how do you us these sites? When I go on them and they have a countdown until the download link opens (some, not all) it just sticks - it doesn't count down. When I click a link to download it keeps reloading the page and no downloading takes place. What am I doing wrong?

Failing miserably. Are you guys saying you can use rapidleech off of your BlackBerry or can download stuff from file servers from your BlackBerry handset (untethered)?

Yusrie, thanks for your time and explanation. It really means a lot. I got to the transload, sent the link to my phone and opened it on my phone and downloaded. These are the results that I get:

Default browser: Request entity too large (my old nemesis)
Opera: Doesn't move at all for about 5 minutes and then tells me 'download failed'
Bolt: Doesn't move at all for like 10 minutes.

Am I fresh out of luck?

I'm looking into that. I have OS 6.0.0.246 and I think maybe it's THAT operating system that has this issue. Since OS5 had a download limit and OS6 removed that, I'm guessing as the OS progress, download limits decrease. Let me give this a punch and I'll let you know.

The maximum I've been able to download is 125MB.

What is the exact operating system version that you use? (the one you find in options>device>about device versions)

AFAIK 'entity is too large' may have to do with 'free user' downloading from MU etc. free users have limited file size.

In the last 2 days I have not been able to download from Filesonic/serve (forget which one), but like 3 days ago I did a 200mb dload easily. It goes through the count down, when i enter the captcha, it kicks back to my browser homepage - no errors or anything, just refuses to go past captcha.
Anyone else having this probleM?
