Mucus stuck in nose

I did this and it worked but the feeling is so disgusting it makes me

I do it all the time. It's ended almost a decade of crippling sinus headaches. Best thing EVER.

*edit*

Just make sure the water is WARM and SALTY (not iodised salt, you need pure Himalayan Rock Salt or something), otherwise it's likely to be a horrid experience.

What's the difference between the salts?

boiling water on the stove with some vicks in it + towel over your head + inhale for a few mins

I've heard that onions ate raw dries up sinuses, try it.

Can people who are allergic to iodine eat iodised salt?

Not sure, best to check with your doctor. I doubt iodised salt has the same effect as receiving an iodine injection. Iodine is a naturally occurring substance in food so it's kinda hard to avoid. As far as I'm aware all table salt in SA has to be iodised by law.

Yup. To prevent retardation. I don't think it's working.

The reason I ask is because I know somebody who claims to be allergic to iodine after she once got sick after eating fish. In my opinion a simpler explanation is that there was something wrong with the fish. I am curious whether her regularly eating food which contains iodised salt doesn't disprove her claim.

Iodine & shelfish allergies are not linked.

She can be tested for this in a controlled environment but I reckon she should be ok with the salt.

Omg I had a good chuckle :D
