Mugabe: 'Only God Can Remove Me From Office'

Bulawayo - Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe said Friday "only God" can remove him from office, in comments ahead of next week's tense run-off election.

"The MDC will never be allowed to rule this country - never ever," Mugabe said in a meeting with local business people, referring to the opposition Movement for Democratic Change.

"Only God who appointed me will remove me, not the MDC, not the British."

Surely now, SADC, The ANC and their comrades and the rest of us can take a statement like that as evidence that, the lift does not go to all the floors, he is not a full box of chocolates, a screw loose, not on the same planet, an old man who should have retired 10 years ago, etc, etc.

Africa still rides on the principles of Tribalism and Culture which is similar to days of old where The King and/or Queen ran the country until death. Mugabe thinks no differently. Europe has moved on and Kings like Charles I were beheaded and the blood from his dead corpse after his beheading was shown to the onlookers by Cromwell to enlighten the crowd that "The Divine King" was no more human than themselves.

I know this is Africa but...do you really want to go on the record calling for the assasination of a foreign leader?
 
It's a weird world we live in Master Jack ... Mugabe's big buddies - and main sponsors - are the god haters from China ... and now he claims he was put in his position by God and can only be removed by God. Wonder how his sponsors interpret this.
 
To his credit he admits God can remove him from office...

Assassination would be to quick... He needs to be kidnapped, and then tortured for days on end by some guy with a James Bond accent
 
Clearly he has lost the plot but it wasnt to long ago that a certain member of the anc claimed that they would rule until the coming of Christ and that it was by Gods will that they in power and governing the country. I'm afraid their only likeness to God lies in their ability to take life but that's where it ends...

you are kidding right? If he was standing here in front of me ... and I had a loaded gun... I would not hesitate. The man is responsible for the deaths and suffering of thousands of innocent people. He is a murderer. I would not feel a split second of conscience. Would be justifiable homicide. Same thing if a policeman shot a criminal or a member of the public shot a hijacker. Seriously!
