MultiChoice results show an increase in DStv Stream subscribers

DStv Stream subscribers surge

MultiChoice has released its annual results for the year ended 31 March 2024, revealing strong subscriber growth for DStv Stream.

At the same time, its DStv Extra Stream product saw slightly increased uptake over the same period.

A lot of their clients moved from dstv premium to dstv stream R 29 package I would think so there is strong growth for dstv stream.

Just when I thought we would make it through Friday without the mandatory DSTV article.
The graphs mean nothing without a y axis with actual number. The first graph could be 5 subscribers to 12 subscribers and we can all shout about the 139% increase

I signed up a couple of days ago. Will use it for a few months. I'm taking a break from crap pirate streams.

Ah, classical cannibalisation, lovely

The DSTV product team should have been fired a long time ago, they have no idea how to innovate and stay relevant - you could easily get free "business-saving" advice right here on MyBB, for free nogal

If they ever bother to fix the "security" lack of access via some platforms now the figures will jump again (main one being Linux, especially Ubuntu).

This company cant even design and develop a working streaming app. The DSTV app is the worst streaming app ever. All catch content freezes, stops every minute or less. One has to keep pressing resume. The live streaming loses quality every now then. I only experience this with DSTV app while others apps like Netflix, Showmax, Prime, Youtube work perfectly fine clearly indicating my fibre is not an issue. Useless company failing with a technology in 2024. You ask yourself what the CTO, CIO are doing in that position. Its appauling. One has to ask themselves, is not enough bandwidth provisioned at their hosting breakout, do they not have enough content caching locations nationally, provincially or at city level. Or is just bad software code? If i had an option for local soccer n sports in general, i would cancel them purely for bad streaming experience. Their app is crap!!

The SABC+ app is pretty straight forward and seems to work well for both radio and TV channels.

Heh, that might anger Multichoice...
