MultiChoice takes the leap into broadband

This is AWESOME! Now I will be able to keep up with all the Rugby matches when I go back to varsity overseas. w00t!
 
Another misleading title! Makes you think Multicrap is offering Broadband via Satellite, but infact they're offering content online which is no different than having a website IMO!.

*sigh*
 
So this is mainly aimed at the international market where they actually have true broadband at fordable prices.

So R1000 a year for RugbyZone and R100 000 for the total bandwidth cost if you watch for that year continually!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I agree on the misleading title.
 
This is nothing for anyone in SA of no use. Bandwidth cost are just to high
 
Awesome product. But would've liked to know of this product before I got DSTV Premium, now I just watch it live....or record it if I'm not gonna b around. With the prices of bandwidth in this country, I doubt that they'll get a lot o subs from sunny SA.
 
Does myADSL actually try to think up misleading and ambiguous titles to their news stories?

and in essence have they not been doing this already through that local site of theirs where drm content can be downloaded?
 
I have registered at RugbyZone, but when I saw the costs involved I realised that its not really worth it. At work I have access to an uncapped 512K line and @ home the 384 with a 2GB cap so I won't really be able to use the service.
 
I remember monochoice had this 'deal' a while back, if you could sign any of your overseas friends/family to use their satelite feed(sign a contract). You could get 20% off your bill. Something like that xD

Although the title is a bit misleading, I think this is awesome, live sport is the only reason I have DSTV, I have uncapped adsl, so to pay R90 odd rand to get live rugby would be awesome!

I personally don't know why so many of you are so negative towards news like this, take it as it is, if it is of no interest to you leave it alone, why waste breath...

Would you honestly still feel the same if you did not have uncapped internet?
 
What sort of broadband connection is required for this service? And how much bandwidth will it consume per broadcast?

(I think this is awesome by the way! The only reason I've ever wanted DSTV was for the rugby broadcasts)
