Hi

I finally got around to getting this link yesterday 07032010, only to find out it's not compatible with my dsd 990. Is there any way I could make it work. Apparently I should have been asked which decoder I have when I bought the link at the multichoice offices. Please help.

The TVLink (which is what I assume you got) is only compatible with the DSD 1110, DSD 1131, HDPVR and SDPVR. I would like to get one as well. How much did you pay for it?

yep as Ipod said only compatible with DSD 1110, DSD 1131, HDPVR and SDPVR.

the only thing that will work for yours is the remote blaster which is like R300-R400 , which im thing at that cost you might as well but a new DSD 1131

If buying a new deocoder, Im assuming Ill get a new smart card - id it easy enough to transfer the accounts - smart card numbers?

yep new decoder new smart card just call the MC call centre give em your acount number and tell em you got a new decoder give em the new smart card number and if they want decoder serial nuber and they should have you coneteced in less then 15 minutes.

Only R70? Wow, I'd better get down to MC to get mine. Now that would make the wife happy - only thing is that I'd have to get another remote.

Just went out to get me the 1131 - Ugly as it is, it's the only single view I could get as new.

I am so glad that I got my 1110 before the 1131 came out. MOwrt, I agree, the 1131 is an ugly bugger indeed. I simply cannot do without the front panel display, esp when listening to DMX whilest the TV isn't turned on.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but according to Multichoice the TV link will not work with a single 1131. I just want the option to change the channel from the bedroom as well, rather than getting up and walking to the lounge. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

the 1131 is the tiny ugly 1 with no screen for chanel number? if yes it will work check under the menu, im sure the tv Link option is there, tv link work with all decoders made afer the sd pvr :)
and yes it works only if you have 1 decoder as well, i used to use it with my 1110 so i could cahnge chanels in my bedroom.

Yes, it is the tiny, ugly one and it has an TV link option. Was surprised when Multichoice said it will only work if I have more than one decoder. Will go and buy one today, thank you!
