Multimedia Audio Controller problem

I have reloaded XP pro and XP found new hardware" Multimedia Audio Controller" When trying to install wimdows can't find drivers for this. It is onboard sound.

I have downloaded Belarc Advisor Free from http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html to get a full profile for my pc with following results;

System Model; VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8366-8233

Main Board; Board: VT8366-8233
Bus Clock: 133 megahertz
BIOS: Award Software International, Inc. 6.00 PG 05/29/2002

Please help.

The driver should be on your motherboard/system disc.

What make is the MOBO? VIA is the chipset, and I know that they used to recommend installing the drivers provided by the board vendor. Have you looked on the VIA website? I remember they used to have a unified driver package that I think may have included all the drivers....
