Multiple Apple IDs on IOS 5

Advice please, I just got my iPad2 yesterday. Am running IOS 5.0.1

Should I be creating an AppleID saying that I live in South Africa or USA?

EDIT: I just managed to create a US based account now.

I only use a Kenya Account and have no need for a USA account or buying up cards from other websites. This allows me to use my South African Credit card and it allows me access to all the applications and games without South African store limitations.

Kenya has no Music, TV and paid for books but I buy my music from Artists direct and use Kindle + Zinio for all my Book needs, this allows me to use my media cross platform.

@Elimentals, what currency are things priced in with your Kenyan account?

Exact same price as the USA in US$ no difference and to date I have not found any applications not in the store.

Oh and when US has a sale its exactly the same in Kenya store.

Could I possibly point one out?

I'm nervous posting anything in the Apple subsection without prior permission nowadays

I don't have a US account now (I'm Kenya) - but I'm sure last I checked with friend on his, there were two FIFA apps at different prices. One more expensive than Kenya and the other cheaper.

I'll get the full name tomorrow

Simple way to check, is use a web browser + iTunes, Web browser will show US prices and iTunes will show your accounts prices. What I have found that I might think cause your problem is some times iPad and iPhone apps are split and costs differ depending on device.

I do stand to be corrected but like I said to date I have yet to find a difference, hell Kenya even has the same sales, as you will see on Black Friday, oh and on that note, ready your CC's cause I am sure you gonna find a crap load of bargains.

Black Friday is this Friday... what kind of bargains? US50c instead of US99c??

Well depends on the developers but last year there where even some titles that went for $0.01. Also if you info Steam(games) expect some cool packs. Oh never mind, Steam already started.

With a Kenyan account, is that in any way a violation of terms of service agreement?

edit: Missed the black friday sale :( Didn't have time to check it out yesterday.

Does anyone forsee any kind of hassles now or in the future if I change my US-based Apple ID to a Kenyan-based Apple ID?

I don't have any paid apps, I have only downloaded free apps.

With a Kenyan Apple ID at least I can use my RSA credit card when I see something I want to buy in future.

I dont think there will be any issues.

Been using mine like I said for some time now, transferred a SA account to Kenya, did not lose any of my apps, so worse case is that I have to transfer it back to SA if they ever start filtering by IP instead of Credit Card address.

There is still some specials left, but if you after free games like say Atari Asteroids there is always places like http://freeappparty.com/index.jsp and http://appshopper.com/ to help you find them.

Edit: PS thanx for the reminder... just picked up http://freeappparty.com/promotion/appInfoDetail.jsp?seq=508&desc=2

So do you specify your SA address (with Kenya as your country) so that it matches the billing address that VISA/Mastercard has on file for you?

Ja, how do you change your account to an Kenyan one. SA's one is really bad.

Just change your address to one in Kenya.

I just used Google maps to look for a street name in Nairobi and used 00200 for the postal code.

I just changed my country to Kenya with my South African street address and it seemed to work.
