Hi. Anyone know if it's possible to setup 2 separate PPPoE connections via a Billion 5102 Router/Modem?

I have 2 PCs on a LAN, and want to set it up so that I create a PPPoE connection on each PC what will go through the single Billian 5102. I was told that if I set the Billion 5102 to "Bridged mode", then it will work. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Thanks

I have two accounts running through my Billion. As you mentioned just set it up in bridge mode and it will work.

Thanks.

I actually sent an email to Billion support on this issue a while back and they said it wasn't supported, while friends in Australia said it was.

Glad to get confirmation that it works in our local environment.

Bridge Mode

Hi

Yes it is possible to setup the router to use 2 accounts.

1. Go into the routers config page and change the mode from Routing to
Bridge.
Press next and apply. Close the browser.

2. Go to the Network connections and create a new connection, select
CONNECT TO THE INTERNET -> SETUP CONNECTION MANUALLY ->
CONNECT USING BROADBAND CONNECTION -> enter ISP name -> Enter
USERNAME and PASSWORD -> Click finish. -> Your connection will appear
in the NETWORK CONNECTIONS.

3. Do these steps with the second username and password aswell.

Hope this helps.

Wow

Ok.... THAT is a first.... Actually getting 'official technical support' without actually asking for it :D :)

Many thanks !!!

Now if only BillionSA could help a certain parastatal telecomms company fix their levels of support ;)
