Hi Guys,

Don't know if this question was asked already ...

I want to have only one adsl account and be able to connect with that account from 3 diff locations at the same time.

Does anyone know of an ISP that can help me out?

No need for a static ip. And abvoiusly there will be a cap limit.

I only need 3 users on one adsl account. It's senseless to pay for 3 ISP accounts and 3 line rental accounts from Telkom for only 24h internet access.

Thanx
Morries :)

You will need an adsl enabled line at every location though, so 3 line rentals are inevitable.

yeah, but from what I understand with Axxess, those 4 connections must come from the same physical ADSL connection ... so it's more like 4 logins. :p

But maybe I've misunderstood them

I'm with Mweb (I know, I know....) and they offer multiple logins and we have used it at different locations at the same time (home, office, test account).

Saix (axxess) dont restrict (yet) where the logins come from, so you can safely use different lines.

well then, that is really usefull, 1 30GB account for 2 or 3 users, becomes really usefull and cheap!

Shweet man.

So this means that you pay your telkom fees (x3, no way to get around this) and only one ISP ADSL account with 30GB cap or better, no cap ;-)

This might work out cheaper and i only have to worry about one account.

Thanx for the replies guys :-)

Yes, useful until the first of november. Also - the fact that they arent restricting it doesnt change the fact that you arent really allowed to do it - it says so on the axxess site. Its a nice feature for someone who wants ADSL at home and at their private office, but now that everyone wants to start sharing the 30 gig accounts and capbusting all 4 of them, we will get slammed with per gig billing, and go back to one user login (most likely).

always glad to assist (although I didn't do much assisting  )

sorry I sounded a bit harsh there.

I guess do all you can to screw this system, and hope things will have to get better someday...

otherwise they will be quicker to find a way to screw us

What happens the first of November? Will the second national operator be active then?

aw shame man .. "the second national operator".. that is too cute - sorry to smash your dreams.. from the 1st of november they will make you pay 80 rand per gig so the 30 gb account will cost about 2400 rand...

the comment was really cute ...... felt a bit like bambi looking at his dead mom going, "why is mommy sleeping?"
