Looking to set up a multiple displays in a shop to show current specials. I have 3 x 42" LED TV's for this.

The easiest way would be to load pics or videos to a flash drive and play it directly on the TV's, which I do now. It works, but I would like to do this remotely from a central location.

Now I was thinking of perhaps going the route of a small PC (maybe a Raspberry Pi or similar?!?) with a wireless connection to the Wi-Fi network.

Anybody on here try this before? Is there specific software to use? Or is there an easier solution? Many of the large chains have this type of setup, but I'm not sure what software or setup they use?

I would like to be able to update the images/video being shown on the display's from a central location/point, as I want to add more display's later.

Any suggestions?

Most of them make use of ODM - One Digital Media.

It's essentially an Android system hooked to the back of the TV that play's the files.

Raspberry pi, collecting images from a shared drive. You could use e.g. xscreensaver to show a series of JPG's from that folder.

Thanks for all the ideas. Will check them out!
