Multiple ISPs on a network

Hey there

I am interested in purchasing an unshaped account for World of Wacraft, and a shaped account for work, browsing, downloading - and running the accounts on different computers. I have one gaming PC which I would like to assign the unshaped account, and 3 (more or less) used for work, email and the like which I would like to assign the shaped account. However they are all on the same network and connect to the same router, so is there any way I could make this possible without setting up individual connections?

And lastly, if anyone could answer this for me, how much bandwidth would I need for the WoW unshaped account? I am quite hooked to the game, playing it about 3 or 4 hours per weekday and the majority of my weekends unless other commitments take priority.

Get a router that allows PPPOE, most of the Billion ones do I think, set up a dialup connection for the shasped account on the one PC and let the others connect via the router. Not sure how much bandwidth WOW uses, sorry.

I have my router set so that all the network computers default to a shared shaped account controlled by the router.

Then the one machine (or more if required) I need to use a unshaped account simply dials in via pppoe whenever needed - therefore if it isnt dialed in it also shares the shaped account.

Ok I'm not too versed on PPPOE - but I have a prejudice against the phrase "dial up" - would dialing in subtract much from the unshaped connection speed? Just want to make sure I wont be inadvertently increasing latency anywhere along the way considering the heavy costs of unshaped :s

Yes it will slow down the unshaped connection.
You may want to upgrade to 1024 kbps if it's a real problem and then shape (limit) the traffic on the shaped account so that it doesn't slow down your WoW gaming.
As far as I know most ADSL modem/router combos have basic shaping features.

there wont be any difference, you are exactly doing what your router does (dials up the pppoe connection), but on your pc

obviously, all 4 pc's.. 1 gaming, and 3 for general use or downloading.. will affect everyone's speed. Since ur sharing one ADSL line. For your sake.. specially if your using 4pc's.. Hope u've got 4mbit line :>>
