Hi all,

We're setting up a project whereby we'll have 15 sites which need a 3G HSDPA connection (as they are mobile)... what would be the best and most cost effective way to manage these broadband costs?

My first thought was to purchase the usb modems seperately and duplicate a single prepaid SIM card (like some guys do with one in their phone and another in their car - as they will only be used for data... if this can be done?), so then I would only need to purchase one prepaid bundle for one sim card and the benefit will then spread across all 15.

Alternatively, managing 15 separate contracts sounds like a mission (unless Autopage or Nashua has an easy business solution)... or would it just be too expensive to purchase all 15 modems?

How about iBurst? All the sites are in the general Gauteng area...

Thanks guys...

I am not too sure if you can "clone" SIMS, especially 15 of them.

I reckon for both iBurst and HSDPA you will have to conduct signal tests at all the sites to see which solution will have the best coverage.

How much data per site are we talking here?

You can get Datasim on Vodacom with a contract bundle and effectively share a bundle amongst 3 sim cards, paying an extra R9/month for each additional sim. The way to do it would be to get a 4U contract and then load a bundle on that. I think MTN offers something similar but can't remember the product name,
