Multiple USB cables not working

I have 3 usb extension cables. 5m, 3m and 1 m. They all work fine independently but when i try connect all three, windows pops up errors about not recognising the device.
How can I remedy this?

Maximum cable length specification is 5m, you are trying to go beyond that. Nothing to remedy, live with it.

You can buy a 5m cable that has a booster in it. Should help you.

max allowed in one cable is 12m.

If you are joining 1>3>5 it can cause some problems as it can't always send a strong enough signal for devices.

if you are looking at longer then below can do upto 45m with a lot of ''signal'' (data via cable) for printers etc....

You can buy a set of special adaptors. In the middle you would run network cable..

USB to Cat5 adapter at point A ... then network cable as your extension .... then a Cat5 to USB adapter at point B
Some of these adapters allows for extensions up to 100M

You need an Active USB extension cable if a normal 5m cable doesn't do the trick. You can link a couple of these as well to create longer cable.
