Found this mushroom growing in the garden. Not sure if it's edible or not. Anyone know what mushroom it is?

Couldn't find anything with Google. 20180531_224316.jpg

The only things I'd eat with certainty are Pine Rings and Boletus (Sep, Porcini).

Does it have a thick layer of sponge beneath the cap?

Thanks for the responses. I have a few ink cap mushrooms in the garden and it s the first time I came across this one.

but you never ate one before? I dont think its a good idea, who knows what they will do to you.

rather be safe than sorry, or in this case dead....

Not planning to yet. I also have 2 small kids that play in the garden and their cousins that comes and visit regularly. I wouldn't want them to put it in their mouth if it's toxic.

Better pic. Diameter is about 4cm.
Yeah those are gills underneath.
Boletus should have a thick layer of sponge underneath, afaik none of them have gills.
Yours look like something else (probably poisonous).

Edit:
Almost all members of the larger Boletaceae family have pores or tubes instead of gills which make them an easy family to identify.
