which ones can you play??? I wanna learn the guitar again. Been ages since I played. I wanna save up to get one

I am looking to buy a guitar. I want a normal classical guitar prob 2nd hand as I am quite new to to instrument. Would a place like cash crusaders be the best place to go??

rather spend a little bit more and get a reputable brand like yamaha or epiphone, 2nd hand instruments from cash crusaders may be in bad condition, ie poor intonation, bent neck etc, and you won't notice at first because you don't know what to look for.

either get a knowledgeable person to help buy a 2nd hand guitar or just buy a new one.
You can probably pick up a yamaha or similar for under R1000 new

Can play a little bit of piano and am not too bad on guitar (depends what you define as good though? :p) Both self taught but was worth the effort :)

Cool. How much do you reckon I should spend on a guitar?? I dont want an expensive one as I am very new. I have kind of played b4 that was yonks ago and wasnt even too great then...

don't spend more than R1000 - you might get bored with it again and the guitar will end up collecting dust!

I can play Fur Elise on the piano even though a piano teacher might only give me 6/10.

A yamaha steel string acoustic normally is avail for around 1K at most music shops. At least thats worth the money.

Most of the stuff at CCrusaders is mass-prod crap from china which will split at the bridge or neck after a couple of years of stress from the strings.

You might be able to find one 2nd hand for a reasonable price - just check it carefully.

yes, exactly - it's not worth getting a real cheapie, unless you can find a reasonably good condition 2nd hand guitar.

what area are you in?

If you want to buy a second hand guitar, go to a reputable music store and speak to them. They might not display them but they normally have second instruments. They won't sell you junk.

I enjoy music but cannot play any instrument except my wife's nerves... she plays the piano, classical guitar and flute/clarinet, etc. My daughter plays the piano and classical guitar. My son plays the piano and all guitars. We just gave him his first electric guitar (Ibanez) and an amp for his birthday.

In Naapier, which is about 1 and a half hour drive from somerset west. So its pretty far out lol I so wanna learn drums...

Be careful of buying a drum set. If I were your neighbour I might launch legal action.

I HATE *** NOISE within a suburban area.

AMOF I'll bust anyone's ass if they are a disturbance.

I've succeeded twice before and I'll do it again. I take my sleep time very seriously.
