Musicians' thread.

That the 95 MIJ Fender Telecaster you were talking about?

Checked now with mobile site.
Digging the colour.

Will check it out some more at home :D
Congrats! :)

Shot copa :) ;)

When I get some time - I really wanna sit down with a Tele and play around with it.
I know I like the look of it, the sound and tone other guitarists get with it.

But have never played one myself.

This past weekend and a bit my dear Cort Semi Accoustic has been sitting in the corner, alone an untouched shame :o

Got a second stand now for the Epi LP.
Just need a decent hardcase for it.

I've got a scratchy pot too...:erm: that came out wrong! :D
Volume and tone on the one pickup.

yeah this was also my first encounter with a tele...but i always wanted one. i first went to go play squier classic vibe tele. it was surprisingly awesome for the fact that its a squier(and it had a classic 3 saddle bridge that i kind of liked.) but then i played the fender and it was just different. its probably just my brain and the fender logo that drove me to it rather than the squier. but its awesome. it is the first time i saw a tele that wasnt a string through. so i still need to read up about that.

The general views on them seem in line with the price you will pay.

Not great, in other words.

But they are very cheap, so...

*edit*

I don't know much about monitors though, I must say.

For a budget option these might be as good as you can get in that price range, for all I know.

Yip - but for my needs right now - I think that'd be good enough for me.
Why can't we have deals like those here?
Don't the Chinese know we have ports here too?

That I read about on Musiciansfriend too. But one guy put quite aptly. Choose a setting that works for you and stick with it. Anyway, I think its a small price to pay for the saving on what seems to be a decent (semi) entry level pair of monitors.

I should call upon the little music store I chanced upon in Robertson. Suprisingly cheap on quality goods.

Didn't read the reviews but for the fact the volume control was at the back was a turn off for me in terms of practicality

I don't think you're going to get many studio monitors with a volume knob on the front.

Generally you'd be controlling the volume from your software or your soundcard.

Size wise they look like desktop monitors and most desktop monitors I've seen have volume control in the front, likely your starting up so maybe you don't have something like the big knob or a mixer to control the volume

@Shake&Bake, mixers are not that expensive any way. You can probably get a very small one for volume control at your side for a good price any where

Got a new Focusrite 2i2 at Soundworks in Tokai for R1595 :)
Saturday = Take 1!
Don't have time till then :(

Really impressed with the Focusrite 2i2 and Reaper! What a pleasure. I had to work out some kinks, mostly my own lacking expertise around some hardware (wiring) But it was a good trial day.

Albeton Live with the Focusrite is rubbish. Couldn't for the life of me figure out how to select a new track and arm it. Along with the fact it took nearly an hour to install.

Reaper was painless and easy to get started with a recording.

Had 2 guitars jacked in directly to the Focusrite and playing along simultaneously. No issues.

Looking forward to learning more and getting better recordings down.

Definetely investing in a license for Reaper.
