Musicians' thread.

After the drop (past 0:37) replace the drums with "live" sounding drums

Yeah it's kinda mashed on there but I usually seperate the drums into indavidual groups after the entire song is constructed. Then panning and ofsetting some sections can start. I also have to work on the compressor a bit the synth uses sidechane but still kills the drums.

Every 16 bars ends with a wacky scratch sound before the breakdown. After listening to it today it sounds horrid so I'll probably take that out too. I like to glitch drums... alot...

Big decisions.

The comparrison chart proves that Dr Drum is good at everything, and that no other software is good at anything

if you're still not convinced, they review themselves here, where they give themselves 5/5 stars

I'm looking for a midi controller keyboard (having never played a keyboard before), that will interface very well with soft synths. I don't care much for the hardware synths included, I won't be using them, so it's preferable that I'm not paying for an enormous high quality library that I'm not going to use.

These are the features I am most interested in. Let me know if I should look for other features based on my aims, and if there are any midi controller keyboards that you would recommend for interfacing with a DAW.

Semi weighted
Expression (Would you recommend expressive keys or a pedal? Do they both interface with the DAW?)
Ability to increase keyboard range via +- octaves
Pitch bend
Sustain pedal
Modulator
49 or 61 notes?

Have a look at these:

Good Quality,
Velocity Sensitive and Semi-weighted
Cost: not an arm and a leg...

Dont have the exact pricing but these are in your price range and you'll have change...
I can give you the suppliers number if you like.

What do you need to know? The beat; wobbly bass?

Agh, nothing really, I'm sure I can work it out - Just bumping the thread to get some discussion going.

Got all the necessary software, it's just a question of wading into the horrors of intricate automation in my DAW now. :D

What I would like though, is some recommendations for current electronic music that is... massive and powerful, if that makes sense?

Got this for all the wobbly ****:
