Nice.
You using midi-ox for anything? Great little program.

So what did you need midi over ethernet for?

Not midi ox.

Embarrassingly Apple has a built in rtp midi utility I never knew about. For communicating with a windows 10 workstation I searched and found this one who uses the same Bonjour print driver called rtp-midi. I'm still messing with it too see what kinda stuff you can do. I've got clock data synchronised as well. :)

Looking for some advice on guitars
My daughter starts guitar in Jan , her teacher recommends a normal size classical guitar, but with low action , easy to play.
Was wondering what to go for these days , happy to spend up to 2k -3k, as well add it to our collection, so don’t want to buy a cheapie.
Was wondering if there is a safe bet, that I can order online
Thanks

Edit - Yamaha CG122MC was the one I went for eventually

It's okay, but i would recommend a fender squire instead for that amount and i got mine for like 2k. Still have it and all i do is keep my strings fresh. Next time consider it.

That's what i learned this year, especially with studio gear - it's amazing what you can get out here.

I was also invited to an awesome online trading community. Got my Blackstar HT Studio 20 for 3K and my Eiphone Dot + Epiphone Hard Case (brand new, was never taken out of the case) for 4K.

Moog mother 32 on order. :)

It's time I dig into more analog stuff. Just a shame that it's so difficult to get this type of stuff here.

Nice, post some sounds some time. Looks like fun to play with. You record / make music? This your first bit of analog gear?

After reading your post & watching this: https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/gdc-doom-behind-the-music-technical.998108/ I needed to make some noise. Moved my nord around and recorded a nice sound that's a single patch with max sustain and an LFO driving the filter. Added a drum loop and lazy vocals...

I will. Yes, no... lol

I had my hands on eurorack custom built devices before including stuff like the arp odyssey and similar synths. I need to get more back into it and is buying the Moog for some inspiration.

It's my first self owned Moog though. :)

Some really old shyte I've done:

I'd also like to get at least one analog synth, or else a sampler with a load of options. I think part of the reason I stopped making music was tweaking sounds and building stuff in Live and focusing on minutiae instead of getting more tracks completed. And maybe also a lack of other people involved...was always just me with my gear making noise and sometimes you just wanna jam with a few people.

Some of your synth stuff is nice - Epic Drum & Bass Thingy and OJ 287 in particular.

Also....
Anyone have a Kaoss Pad KP3 lying around gathering dust?

Thanks man. Yeah I'm a Cubase dude although any live thing I prefer Ableton but I don't own Ableton. haha Would make sense for me to get it one day for live stuff cause using a control surface such as my launchpad mini only really works with a clip launcher. a Feature Cubase isn't really designed for.

The Moog has ext in so I'm really exited about running output from stuff like Serum into it. It's a monophonic synth so if you want to make it play a chord requires either crazy cross modulation (FM), ext in (from another oscillator), or buying more Moog mother 32's. XD

There's also ways to go nuts on the patch panel like using the LFO as an audio oscillator but can only go up too 350hz and is not 1 volt per Octave like a VCO. It's gonna be fun. :)

Ok this is cool...just got a firmware patch that turns the BCR2000 into a midi step sequencer with a load of settings. Have it running into the nord and just realized each of the 4 live patch banks on the nord can have it's own midi input. The BCR sequencer can output individual sequences to different midi outputs so that's 4 simultaneous 'instruments' I can sequence each with different programs. I've put the whole standalone setup in a different room on the floor so I can just jam without being near my pc. Thanks for the inspiration.

^I wanna see pics of your gear, not some internet bollocks :X3:.
When you expecting it to arrive?

Also...damn it's fun having a step-sequencer running. Worked as expected with four separate tracks and I'm amazed at the options they've included in what's basically a firmware patch that turns the BCR from a controller into a kickass sequencer. The abundance of LED's on the BCR obviously doubles how cool it is.

Xone 4d, novation launchpad mini, focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (blegh, need the clarets 8prex :) ), Some cheap guitar pedals and stuff and meh midi skills. haha. I'll post a setup video once the Moog arrives.

Edit: The suppliers said tomorrow. :)
